Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ProjectFirm ("we", "us") collects when you use tax.citylife.com.ng (the "site"), how we use it, and your choices. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

1. Figures you enter and payroll files

The tax calculator and the Employer PAYE Schedule tool run entirely in your browser. Salary figures you type, and payroll files you upload, are processed on your own device. They are not sent to or stored on our servers. Downloaded schedules are saved only on your device.

2. Employer accounts

If you create an employer account, we collect:

• Your email address and sign-in details, managed by Google Firebase Authentication. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us.
• Billing records: the payroll months you have paid for and how many employees each covers, payment references, your free month dates, and the employer TIN you provide when starting the free month (used only to allow one free month per company). We never receive your payroll data.

We use this information only to provide your account, check which payroll months you've paid for, and prevent misuse of the free month. We do not sell it.

3. Payments

Individual results: when you pay to unlock a result, you give Paystack your email for the receipt. We store only the payment reference, the type of result and a one-way fingerprint (hash) of your inputs, which lets us confirm the payment without ever receiving your figures.

Payments are processed by Paystack. Your card or bank details go directly to Paystack and are never seen or stored by us. We receive confirmation of the payment (amount, reference and status). See Paystack's privacy policy.

4. Cookies and similar storage

• Essential storage: Firebase stores sign-in information in your browser so you stay signed in. We also store small preferences, such as whether you've closed our employer announcement.
• Advertising cookies (calculator page only): We use Google AdSense to show ads on the public calculator page. The employer pages never show ads.

5. Advertising

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info.

6. Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting and billing records), Google Firebase (sign-in), Paystack (payments) and Google AdSense (ads on the calculator page). They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. Some may store data outside Nigeria, with appropriate safeguards.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account and billing records while your account is active, and for up to 6 years afterwards where needed for accounting, tax or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

8. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below, and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment confirmation happens on our server using Paystack's secure verification, and your payroll data never leaves your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10. Children

The site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will appear on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
